Forged steel gate valves are suitable for small-caliber pipelines of Class150-2500, working temperature-29-425 C (carbon steel) or-29-500 C (stainless steel). They are used to cut off or connect the medium in the pipeline. Different materials are selected. [Characteristics of forged steel gate valve]
Forged steel gate valves are mostly Dalian type shrinkage design. Compared with cast steel gate valves of the same caliber, the flow rate is slightly smaller, but the pressure and temperature range are higher than those of cast steel gate valves, and the sealing performance is much better than that of cast steel gate valves. The service life of forged steel gate valves is longer, and the direction of medium flow is as unrestricted as other gate valves.
[Installation Points]
1. Installation location, height, import and export direction must meet the design requirements, and the connection should be firm and tight.
2. All kinds of manual valves installed on insulation pipelines shall not have downward handles.
3. The appearance of the valve must be checked before installation. The nameplate of the valve should conform to the current national standard "General Valve Mark" GB 12220. For working pressure greater than 1.0 MPa
The strength and tightness test should be carried out before the installation of the valves which play a cutting role in the main pipe, and the valves should be used only after they are qualified. In the strength test, the test pressure is 1.5 times of the nominal pressure, and the duration is not less than 5 minutes. The valve shell and packing should be qualified without leakage. The test pressure is 1.1 times of the nominal pressure during the tightness test. The test pressure should meet the requirements of GB 50243 standard for the duration of the test, and the non-leakage of the gate sealing surface should be qualified.

During the operation of grease injection, the pressure of grease injection varies regularly from peak to valley with semi-free floating ball steam trap. The pressure is too low, the seal leaks or the safety valve fails, the pressure is too high, the valve of the grease injection port is blocked, the inner grease of the seal is hardened or the seal ring is locked with the valve ball and the valve plate. Usually when the pressure of grease injection is too low, the grease injected into the bottom of the valve chamber, usually occurs in small gate valves. On the one hand, the pressure of the grease injection flow control valve is too high. On the other hand, check the grease injection nozzle of the insulating gate valve. If the blockage of the grease remote control floating ball valve hole determines that the spring sealing belt wrench is fully open for replacement; on the other hand, the plunger stop valve is grease hardening. The failed sealing grease should be softened repeatedly by using cleaning fluid and replaced by injecting new grease. . In addition, sealing type and sealing material also affect the grease injection pressure. Different sealing forms have different grease injection pressure. Generally, the grease injection pressure of hard seal is higher than that of soft seal.
[Maintenance Rules]
When maintaining forged steel valves, attention should also be paid to the problem of water intake in the electric head and its transmission mechanism. Especially in rainy season. One is to rust the transmission mechanism or the transmission shaft sleeve, and the other is to freeze in winter. When the electric valve is operated, the torque is too large, and the damage of the transmission parts will make the motor no-load or over-torque protection jump out and unable to realize the electric operation. The transmission parts are damaged and manual operation is not possible. After over-torque protection action, manual operation is also unable to switch.
